2Pac death in new Nat’l Geographic doc

As part of a mega, 6-hour new documentary, National Geographic will take a look back at The ’90s: The Last Great Decade? and it would be remiss not to cover one of the most major murders in hip hop history: Tupac Shakur‘s in 1996.

This chilling preview clip splices in interviews with the likes of Arsenio Hall, Gobi Rahimi, (director of “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted”, with 2Pac on the night of his death) and Malcolm Greenridge (of The Outlawz). In fact, the latter had this quotable on the mystery of 2Pac’s murder:

Law enforcement around the country weren’t big Tupac fans. I’m absolutely positive they know what happened. This is America. We found Bin Laden.

A great preview that certainly entices, no matter how closely you’ve wrapped yourself up in the 2Pac murder story over the years. I love documentaries as a whole anyway, so I’ll be sure to hit National Geographic during July 6th-8th starting at 8pm CT.
