Dissertation: A KanYe West Story
Above is a new documentary, perfect for the present moment just a day before T.L.O.P. arrives and on the 12th anniversary of Kanye West’s first album, The College Dropout.
Dissertation is entirely narrated by journalist critics like the New York Times’ Jon Caramanica and Complex’s Noah Callahan-Bever as they touch on Kanye’s entire career arc and what makes him a true artist and superstar. It’s interesting to hear them speak on the various phases of his career and an idea that Kanye at some point decided to be so brash and speak his mind so loud. I found myself nodding my head in agreement to a lot of what was discussed. Not to mention this was really well-cut and produced and everything that is in black and white was a nice touch. Get lost in this one above.
Down below, Ebro of Hot 97 teases Kanye’s new album, currently titled T.L.O.P., after hearing it at Kanye’s exclusive listening party last night. This sums up the tidbits:
Big drums Kanye
Heavy bass line Kanye
Controversial punchline Kanye
All in one project#TLOP

And finally, we’re about 24 hours away from Yeezy Season 3‘s premiere at Madison Square Garden and I think there’s a worthwhile reason to get TIDAL now… It’ll be streaming there.
