New Eminem Album ‘Shady XV’ drops Black Friday November 28th

UPDATE: My prediction below, confirmed by Eminem himself.

UPDATE 2 (10:30pm CT): “Guts Over Fear” is officially out — and can be heard here.

UPDATE 3: Shady XV will be a 2-disc album — the first disc will contain Eminem’s greatest hits and the second will be a compilation of new music from Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf. Dope!

UPDATE 4 (10.13.14): The Shady XV artwork can be seen above; details here.

UPDATE 5 (11.11.14): The album drops on Monday, November 24th now.

Whoa! A new Eminem album dropping this year — just one year after MMLP2?! Great news for Shady fans and a connect-the-dots moment to the new tee Eminem donned during last night’s conclusion of The Monster Tour in his hometown Detroit last night (above). It’ll be titled Shady XV and drops on Black Friday, November 28th. Great marketing date for the release.

The only confirmed track is the upcoming “Guts Over Fear” featuring Sia, which drops tonight at midnight and was originally thought as a mere contribution to the upcoming, badass Denzel Washington movie The Equalizer. This new slide reveals the info on the new album.

My prediction for Shady XV is, so maybe don’t get too excited, a 15-year greatest hits album commemorating the time between his Slim Shady LP 1999 debut and now. I would think there will be a few original tracks for the album, like “Guts Over Fear”, which given Sia’s popularity as well, should launch to #1 and bring hip hop back in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 (it’s lookin’ pretty thin right now.)

Stay tuned tonight at midnight, and preview the track here, with a few more official flicks from The Monster Tour to hold you over as well below (save for that fantastic MEME).
