Isa Muhammad ‘Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius’ (Mixtape)

We’ve been fans of Isa Muhammad since Day 1 – before we even knew his name.  We first spotted him freestyling for Rick Ross over the summer, then saw him get signed to MMG a few weeks later, and now are bumping his first-ever mixtape Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius.

And it is a monster!

Diabolical Bastard is a whirlwind of soulful beats and Isa’s hungry, hyper-lyrical flow.  You don’t often see “viral sensations” follow up their 15 minutes of fame with much substance, but Isa’s MMG debut proves he’s in it for the long haul.  The bawse Rozay shows up on three of these 25 tracks that were recorded at his house over the past four months, alongside guest spots from Curren$y and fellow Maybach brethren Scrilla and Quise.

Across two-dozen tracks, Isa hops on a plethora of styles while staying grounded in 90s-bred lyricism.  The Inglewood native seamlessly weaves together tales from the block with higher-conscience mysticism that is drawing comparisons to Jay Electronica.  If you’re short on time, check out “Lazer-Etched Lyrics” and “Isa Mane” – you’ll probably end up listening to the rest of the mixtape immediately after.

We are beyond stoked to see Isa continue to improve his craft while working at a freakish, Makavellian pace.  Dude hasn’t lost a step, and continues to run full speed ahead…
