Mariah Carey new album/single release date
It’s official! Mariah Carey will be back to the world of music on February 12 with her new single, “You’re Mine (Eternal).” Over the past weekend Mariah performed the new tune live at “BET Honors” in Washington, D.C., which also honored legends such Aretha Franklin and Berry Gordy.
May 6 will mark the arrival of Mariah’s new album The Art of Letting Go, which is the follow-up to her last studio album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which was released almost 5 years ago. The Art of Letting Go will feature her summer hit with Miguel “#Beautiful,” and the titled track “The Art of Letting Go,” which was produced by Rodney Jerkins. The album will feature work from Jermaine Dupri, Hit-Boy, Mike Will Made-It, and Nas just to name a few.
I’m personally excited for this news and I really hope Mariah stays committed to these dates. It is no secret Mariah has had some trouble with staying commercially relevant since her last top 10 hit on Billboard Hot 100 with, “Obsessed,” in 2009. Here’s hope that she is finally serious about her music career and is ready to take the necessary steps with promoting her project correctly this go-round.
