Goodbye Tomorrow “2 Many”
New #MondayMotivation, #AllDayMotivation via the Chicago crew Goodbye Tomorrow.
Their first song release since their critically acclaimed album AJTTMOANB is a furious one that sees the anonymous rapper of the group take aim at the politics, clearly disgusted at the fake barriers that are in place whether it be for an artist individually or for society as a whole. The message is so poignantly well-communicated that you just have to hear it for yourself. On top of that, the producers blend a fitting sample from Skepta’s “Mike Lowery” to set the tone.
A message from GT + the first Goodbye Tomorrow Tour announcement below. What design (again) + the cleverly titled “Live Beta Test”. Hopefully you’re near one of the country’s 3 largest markets… see ya in Chicago.
“This track is born from a place of frustration and defiance. At every stage, there are always barriers to what you want, but when you see it how it really is, those barriers only exist because we’ve all been programmed to see them. The world tries to get you stuck in this eternal loop, where every time you get through a level they just reset the board with the same exact pieces. Freshmen in high school become freshmen in college and so on. New level. New title. Same shit. ‘Cuz that’s just how it is.’ But there’s too many answers like that. Too many protocols and regulations and red tape, but any rules without reason only stand in the way of the world.”
