Linkin Park f/ Rakim “Guilty All The Same”

Mike Shinoda to CBS:

The reason we went with this single first is that we think it’s a good look into the DNA of the record that we’re putting out this summer. (Rakim)That’s like one of my idols. If you get into the nitty-gritty of his rhyme pattern and the topic in this song, it’s bananas what he is doing. He’s on the some Steve Vai s*** vocally.

LP & Rakim?! I love odd collabs and I had a feeling this one would work. After a long, heavy rock intro, Chester Bennington begins his booming singing as we await the God MC’s featured verse last. It turns out to be such a natural fit as the theme of the song clearly centers around people being “Guilty All The Same”. Look for this one to drop on Linkin Park’s new album, which should have more details and previews soon since the band is hard at work in the studio.

Song since removed.
