Linkin Park “Until It’s Gone”
This summer will feel right with a new album from Linkin Park. Their last one dropped in the summer of 2012 and their new one, The Hunting Party, will follow suit on June 17th. Getting me amped for the release is today’s new single “Until It’s Gone”, which draws upon the band’s earlier sound as Mike Shinoda has indicated in recent interviews. After all, Chester screaming is vintage LP and that happens at an excellent balance in “Until It’s Gone”. The added futuristic sounds to the rock front gives me a Meteora type feel — a good thing since that’s probably my favorite Linkin Park album from beginning to end. I’m already runnin’ this back on repeat, as adding to the power of the single is a well-shot lyric video from Austin Saya. I must say too, I already like this single better than the Rakim-featured lead “Guilty All The Same”. Press play to see and hear what I mean.
