Mickey Factz “Detroit Red”
A brief audio-biography of Malcolm X’s younger days, Factz places himself in the shoes of Detroit to tell his story. Provided by a Jazzy backdrop from Aleem Bilal, Mickey serves up a great reminder to what his talent can provide. This is the first leak off of his newest project entitled ’740 Park Avenue.’
NEW Mickey Factz with a fantastic concept and premise seen above, played out properly with some superb verses. Mickey’s technical skills are as sharp as ever, mixing in similes and alliteration along this deep, insightful story. It’s the type of song to run back and forth a few times to really get a clear picture of what Mickey is illustrating. You’ll be engaged on listen #1, even from the very beginning as snippets of Denzel’s 1992 performance as Malcolm X play to introduce (and later close) the song. Very strong effort from Factz to kick off 740 Park Avenue.
