Gowhere Summer 2013 Playlist

Pharrell kicks off our summer playlist. With staking claim to the summer with featured hit after hit (see: Get LuckyBlurred Lines, and the newly released ATM Jam with Azealia Banks), we’re gonna keep it going this year with an album that defined summer in 2006.

Pharrell – In My Mind [Entire Album]

The album’s two singles - “Can I Have It Like That” f/ Gwen Stefani & “Number One” f/ Kanye West -  set the tone for an entire body of work that can be summed up in one word:fresh

Sgt. Tibs’ suggests we “start at track 1, roll the windows down, and ride out for the next 45 minutes with your shades down.”

Jay Z f/ Justin Timberlake – Holy Grail

Brand spankin’ new music from the Suit and Tie gents.  Nothing like wearing tuxedos in the summer for no reason.

Jay Z and Beyonce – Bonnie and Clyde Part II (On the Run)

Does Jay Z sleep? I suppose not, if he is still on the run with his Bonnie to his Clyde by his side.

Busta Rhymes – #Twerkit

K Max chooses this sexually charged beat filled sweaty bodies, whats not to love? #twerkit Also… he chose Mayer Hawthorne. Ladies, K Max has a nice and naughty side!

Mayer Hawthorne – Her Favorite Song

Kick off your summer groove with this beat and win the ladies over.

Jay Z – Feelin It

Jay Z keeps it real with his raps that just make your heart beat along – just like CoverItGirl herself!

2 Chainz f/ Pharrell – Feds Watchin

Starring 2 Chainz with his crazy flow and Pharrell, Feds are watchin’ you dance to this beat at your next house party

Dave Pracyse – F.Y.T.

ChiTown, Stand up!

Pusha T – Number On The Boards

DJ Averi Minor recommends this anthem to charge you up for whatever summer nights might bring you.

Mariah Carey Featuring Miguel – #Beautiful

Jodeci picks the perfect Mariah song for this summer. Honey colored hair and butterflies, Mariah embodies summer. Slow down and cool off to this #beautiful beat.

Beyoncé – Schoolin’ Life

Whether if you’re 16, in your 20s, 30s, 40, and up, Beyonce definitely teaches us a thing or two.

Kelly Rowland – Put Your Name On It

Give the ladies something to dance to.

Jay-Z Featuring UGK – Big Pimpin’

If this doesn’t exemplify summer, I don’t know what does.

Drake Featuring J. Cole – Jodeci Freestyle

Roll down you windows and drive a little slower to this beat

Fantasia Featuring Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliot – Without Me

Nothing like a group of beautiful songstresses serenading you.

50 Cent – In Da Club

This really kicks your backyard grilling up a notch.

Miley Cyrus – Party In the USA

Srirachana hates herself for loving this song so much – Major guilty pleasure alert.

Drake – Best I Ever Had

Best I ever had just makes us think of those short lived summer loves.

Nicki Minaj – Super Bass

There’s just something about the intro to this beat that makes you feel like you’re jumping into the pool.

Rita Ora – How We Do (Party)

She sings her spin on famous biggie lyrics to the perfect summer beat – sure to get your partying and  bullsh*tting.

The Beatles – Ballad of John & Yoko

Anything beatles, please.

Kid Cudi f. Chip – Hyyer

Get trippy off this song.

Chromeo – Bonafied Lovin

Synthfunk, whatever genre this is, we love it.

Gorillaz – Super Fast Jellyfish

Trippy visuals and fun lyrics… none of get whats its truly about but have deciphering it.

Lil’ Rob – Summer Lovin’

This tune is HelloKeena’s yearly summer jam.

The Cool Kids – Mikey Rocks

Classic.  Stay cool through the heat with these kids.

Kero One – In All the Wrong Places

Soothing to soul, like an ice cold glass of lemonade.

Daft Punk – Robot Rock

What does Daft Punk touch and not turn into gold?

Weezer – the entire GREEN ALBUM

Teddy choses the best Weezer album for your listening pleasure.  Not all weezer albums were great, people even petitioned to make them STOP making new music, but the ENTIRE Green Album reminds us why we love them oh so much.

And last, but definitely not least…

Janet Jackson – Need Someone to Call my Lover

The banjo just sets the tone to meet that girl/guy of your dreams, wherever that may be .
