Nick Astro f/ Legit “Put Me On”
Impressive new song and visual from Nick Astro above. Simply put. Astro’s new offering off the ListenToNewMusic EP is a self-directed video and collab with fellow Chicagoan Legit. The two have some commentary on the behind the scenes politics for an upcoming artist, specifically for one aiming to get on X popular blog. As Nick says,
Indeed blogs have become a major player in the music industry however don’t leave it to those outlets to do all the work for you, focus on your craft and make great art.
Consequently, the hook is ironically true and catchy to boot, in addition to both Astro & Legit spittin’ a fast flow with the clarity to catch all the good words on first listen. The video is simple and features a few nice subtleties such as the old-school elevator intro, the small visual effects added to their shirts and hands, and finally the last minute and a half of storyline. The ending gives the video an extra edge and is the beginning of a “To Be Continued” storyline. “Put Me On” is in fact the prelude to the video for one of Astro’s biggest tracks, “Scarlett Johansson”. Keep it locked on Gowhere for that video and the latest on ListenToNewMusic.
