OutKast reunites at Coachella

Last night, the legendary rap duo Outkast headlined Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in what was to be one of the most anticipated public performances in years.

Having not released an album since 2006’s Idlewild & before that, 2003’s RIAA Diamond certified Speakerboxxx/The Love Below the duo sang many throwback hits including “Roses” “Ms. Jackson” & “B.O.B.” from the Stankonia album.

They were joined on stage by Janelle Monae for their hit “Tightrope” and by Future for a medley (where he also debuted “Benz Friendz”). Monae joined the stage during Big Boi’s solo set. Once during Andre 3000’s set, he announced “My idol Prince is backstage right now” but unfortunately, a surprise performance never came to fruition.

It’s good to see Hip-Hop royalty back on the stage.
