Common talks with Rick Fox on NBATV

Any close follower of Common knows his close relationship with the NBA so it was no surprise to see Common on NBATV after the Summer League concluded last night. In fact, I didn’t move the remote as the Kings defeated the Rockets in an entertaining title game, followed by a live edition of #TheStarters (the best show on the NBA), and the all-new ‘Fox After Dark’. Former player, actor, and host Rick Fox is on his 3rd episode of ‘Fox After Dark’ which mixes in the NBA and entertainment with Vegas’ Summer League as the background.

The 5-minute segment with Common talks about the current happenings in the NBA and with Nobody’s Smiling as Com name drops “Blak Majik” featuring Jhene Aiko & “Diamonds” featuring Big Sean as two of his favorites on the album, talks about the motifs to Chicago on the album, and he even has some input on LeBron to Cleveland and the new-look Bulls. I can imagine him and No I.D. watching Dougie McBuckets highlights in the studio, ha!

BONUS: Common also chatted with The Breakfast Club this morning, where no doubt the conversation on Nobody’s Smiling and various other topics continued below. The album… in stores today!
