Beyonce’s Blue Ivy Poem

Queen Beyonce started her week off in about as big of fashion as possible — closing out the VMAs with a thrilling 16 minute performance of her album and sharing a heartwarming moment of thanks and gratitude with her family, Jay Z and Blue Ivy. I’m still stirred by the emotions and quality of the performance.

Today, she stars in a new photo shoot for CR Fashion Book, with guest creative director Ricardo Tisci and photographer Pierre Debusschere (director of the “Mine” video with Drake). The cover story of Queen B is simply a poem that she penned herself, dedicated to her daughter Blue Ivy. You can see the photos and poem amidst the spread above, or for your convenience below. As you’d imagine, the poem is touching. I love the beginning and end with the middle acting as a necessary bridge.

Fashion ranges from COMME des GARÇONS shorts to a Prada dress, a Saint Laurent cape to a Givenchy skirt by Riccardo Tisci.
