Rich Jones f/ Supa BWE “W.O.W”

If you don’t know Rich Jones by now, then you haven’t been paying attention. The 27-year-old MC has been a regular on Chicago’s burgeoning underbelly, pacing local shows and sets and setting the tone for what a hustle looks like in 2015 in the process. Having rubbed shoulders with the likes of Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa and a who’s who of the current crop of new stars from the ‘Go, Jones appears poised to step out himself and continues to do so here with the Chicago Reader premiere of his latest single “W.o.W” featuring Supa BWE of Hurt Everybody fame. The latest release from his upcoming project, ‘Pigeons & Waffles’ gets a rousing stamp of approval from one of the city’s pre-eminent music journalists in Leor Galil who wrote: “Jones delivers rubbery lines with a loose-limbed flow over the song’s lackadaisical drum pattern and a smoky sax sample. The appearance of Hurt Everybody’s Supa Bwe, who seems to be just about everywhere these days, adds another spark to the mix.
