College students sing “Alright” in police protest

Wow, a chilling, and very powerful statement. Kendrick Lamar has got to feel inspired that his new single (and masterful video) for “Alright” is connecting like this.

Cleveland State University students gathered at a Black Lives Matter conference this past weekend. An incident caused unrest when the police detained a 14-year old boy for public intoxication. They did it violently, according to witnesses to ABC News 5 Cleveland, as officers slammed him to the ground. Things escalated when a crowd blocked a police car’s path, causing the officers to use pepper spray. This led to the arm to arm unity and the “Alright” chorus to reign loud. Here’s the video:
