Childish Gambino announces tour

Because The Internet is coming to a stage near you. Today, Gambino announced the ‘Deep Web Tour’ starting in the U.K. in February and stretching into the start of May, hitting all coasts in the United States along the way. I’d copy and paste the dates and cities below, but I’d rather give props Glover’s actual reveal — (don’t worry, it’s ok to click on).

Kanye West extends ‘Yeezus Tour’

We all suspected that with the Yeezus Tour enduring a postponement midway through that Kanye would hit those cities again in due time. It looks like he’ll be doing just that for some of them this February, per the announcement this morning of the following dates.

Me also suspects that more U.S. dates could be added (like a Minneapolis, who had their date postponed) and definitely and eventually a European run.

If the tour hasn’t hit your city yet, well, let’s just say I highly suggest it.

The Yeezus Tour continues…

2/13 — University Park, PA @ Bryce Jordan Center
2/14 — Baltimore, MD @ Baltimore Arena
2/15 — Newark, NJ @ Prudential Center
2/17 — Montreal, QC @ Bell Centre
2/18 — Hamilton, ON @ Copps Coliseum
2/19 — Albany, NY @ Times Union Center
2/21 — Uncasville, CT @ Mohegan Sun Arena
2/22 — Atlantic City, NJ @ Boardwalk Hall
2/23 — Uniondale, NY @ Nassau Coliseum

Common announces new album

Common album news!

In 2013, Common continually hinted at an upcoming EP and studio sessions with No I.D. for the new year (including in our own sitdown ICYMI). Today, he reveals to RevoltTV that the EP is now an album — an album he indicates is entirely produced by No I.D. Wow. This combo has long been gold, and I don’t see that faltering any level in the year 2014. I, as one of many, am excited.

Keep the interview flowing as well for more general, positive words from Common on the new generation of Chicago hip hop artists.

Justin Bieber & Kid Cudi in the studio

Some news that may have escaped you over the weekend is a new studio session by Justin Bieber. He’s not done after the new release of Journals, as Bieber Instagramed this photo of the moonman Kid Cudi flicking us off. Hmm, this collab should have contrasting sounds, and is one that is none too surprising to see for those that have this throwback photo engrained somewhere in their memory.

From 2011: Jay Z, Rashida Jones, Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Aziz Ansari, Justin Bieber, & Kid Cudi

Kanye West & Tyga in the studio

Tyga dropped this photo via his Instagram as it looks like he’s cookin’ up a track with Kanye West (and in the process, showing off the fruits of his girl’s friendship with ‘Ye’s girl).

Unrelated: who else is a Kim Kardashian BFF and would she like to be my girlfriend?

Usher hints at new music in 2014

You guys have probably been following me on Instagram so you see my Afro and my six-pack. So I’m getting out of Sugar Ray Leonard mode and into Usher Ray mode.

– Usher

Usher talked with MTV (alongside Scooter Braun) at the premiere of Justin Bieber’s new Believe documentary this weekend and hinted at some new music for the top of 2014. He’s been filming his role as Sugar Ray Leonard lately, but sounds like he’s been making time for the studio. Hopefully we get a nice mix of club hits and lyrically unique slow jams (mainly the latter though).
