The surging Toronto Raptors and its new global ambassador Drake will usher in the new era of Drizzy Saturday night January 11th, as all fans will receive this limited edition Raptors x OVO long-sleeve tee. If I was a Raptors fan, I’d definitely try and cop a ticket for ‘Drake Night’ (which, will only feature this shirt and no Drake, ha!). That’s how you do the logos on the long-sleeves though. Very sharp and subtle. Take notes!
Can’t make it out to the left coast for Coachella? Well, find a way to the world’s largest city as today, it’s revealed that OutKast will headline the Governors Ball Festival. More details and the full lineup to come.
Looks like Cali will be the place to be come April. The previously revealed and majorly announced headliner OutKast leads a real nice group of urban artists like Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Chi-Town’s 2013 star Chance The Rapper, Jhene Aiko, and oh yeah, this guy named Nas. A couple more notable Chicago acts include Flosstradamus and Krewella. Who’s on your personal lineup?! Hope you got tickets already!
A Kanye West collab update, courtesy of a couple parties: one is Chicago producer duo Da Internz, as Kosine revealed on Instagram below that Yeezy asked for some beats. Watch the hot video preview below for something that I can easily see 2013 Yeezus rhyming over.
French Montana also revealed to RollingStone that he’s been in the studio with ‘Ye. Says Frenchie:
We’re supposed to be working on a couple of songs together for his album. He got a special project coming out.
Both these collabs indicate a couple of “turn up” records on the way for Kanye West, but we’ll wait and see when they eventually see the light.
2Pac on Broadway?! Yes, indeed.
Come June 19th, a new musical titled ‘Holler If Ya Hear Me” will debut and, to debunk your first thought, it won’t be a biopic of the fallen rap legend. Instead, it will be an original story about “friendship, family, revenge, change and hope” for inner-city families going through life. 2Pac’s “Me Against the World,” “California Love” and “Keep Ya Head Up” are some of the confirmed, and appropriate songs chosen for the play’s background.
So to all the fellas out there who are wifed up, here is a pain-free way to earn brownie points with the lady. Say you’ll take her to a play, and act pleasantly surprised when it’s basically about 2Pac.
