Add-2 ‘Prey For The Poor’

Sure, you may be up on Rodeo this weekend, but the album that you should let settle for Labor Day Weekend and beyond is courtesy of Chicago’s own Add-2.

His Jamla Records debut is out now on iTunes and Spotify — the cleverly titled Prey For The Poor.

14 tracks featuring labelmates Rapsody, 9th Wonder, Khrysis, and more. I’ll be sittin’ with the lyrics from one of Chicago’s most insightful writers and deliverers.

Having personally posted many of his new projects and freestyles over the years, it’s great to see today’s landmark release. Salutations! And stream above!

Add-2 “Club Church”

Add-2 and Cam Be, who have worked together on several videos, have linked up again to capture Add’s live performance with his band at the iconic House Of Blues theater. Add-2 and the band put a energetic-New Orleans jazz spin to a “Between Heaven and Hell EP” favorite where Add imagines the club being like a church. Add-2’s debut Jamla Records album “Prey For The Poor” is set to release this year.

Add-2 “Frightening” (prod. Khrysis)

After a brief break, Add-2 is back, and back with a fury. He links up with his Jamla compadre Khrysis for the frantic production that Add meets halfway with a fast flow, furious delivery, and of course… bars. Let’s just say it only took a few of those to be reigned in. The bars and the beat remain lethal throughout and be sure to keep in tune all the way through for the dope outro. Overcome the mid-song drops by copping the A3C Vol. 4 compilation on iTunes now.
