Here’s the next evolution for Just Don.
Don C’s luxury, leather headwear is now translating to Js — namely with this new Just Don x Air Jordan 2 collab, cleanly detailed in the gallery above.
Leather on your Js may feel like a lil much, but it definitely works all the same. The blue really pops, as do the details. My favorite being the Beaverton – Italy – Chicago patch, indicating that these Jordans follow the originals in being made with Italian leather in Italy.
To cop ’em, hold your breath til January 31st, the current rumored release date.
Unrelated but relevant: Wow.
Drizzy continues to stunt on Instagram with his custom OVO Jordans. This one above is different from the rest because of the all gold everything + a never before seen detail of ‘6 I X’ on the tongue of this AJ3s. At this point, it looks like all these Js are exclusive to Drake, so I’m no longer anticipating a wide release. Jumpman should get on it though, these iterations will sell with Yeezy type buzz (a tier below that, IMHO). Discuss ICYMI: Drake x Lil Wayne OVO Retro IIIs: Tour Edition
UPDATE: Had to bring this back up with some new photos, Roger Federer debuting the Air Jordan 3 x Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s yesterday at the U.S. Open, and finally, greatness meets greatness. Federer talks with MJ himself here:
See the shot that made MJ adamantly applaud and discuss the Air Jordan 3 x Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s.
08.20.14: Jordans… on the tennis court?!
Best believe it as Roger Federer will take to the blue U.S. Open courts in Flushing next week in style. He’ll rock these Air Jordan 3 x Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s that combine fashion and performance. As a fan of the elephant print 3s (I mean, who isn’t?), this one’s an instant overhead smash to me. I guess Novak Djokovic wasn’t playin’ when he said on Letterman last night that Roger Federer has the best on-court style. This is definitely cementing his place there too.
With the Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour starting this past weekend, Drake took a moment to share what exclusive kicks he’s rockin’ on stage. The Drake OVO Air Jordans III is a sleek all-black with the Jumpman coming in two bright accents. The Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour, Street Fighter-inspired logo also appears on the sole. My verdict: Fresh.

We’re on a string of hot new Air Jordan releases (I guess, when are we aren’t?) and today’s features some all new detail shots of the Air Jordan III “Sport Blue” retros that are set to drop August 16th.

Jordan Brand confirmed to SLAM today that the release date for both Air Jordan XX9 colorways (above and below) is Saturday, September 6.
The cool part about the launch is that Jordan Brand will allow prospective customers to wear-test the sneakers at to be announced events across the country this summer.
Says Brian O’Connor, VP Global Brand Jordan Marketing, “Before consumers can buy the shoe on September 6, we wanted to create opportunities for them to try the shoe, and experience firsthand what it’s like to take flight in the Air Jordan XX9.”
Look out for these events this summer (no doubt they’ll have one in Chicago) and start saving up the $225 now.
I don’t always post sneaker news, but when I do, it’s because I need to raise money want to buy them.
The Air Jordan VI “History of Jordan” is revealed in various photos in the gallery above as you’ll see the dominant red leather popping out with accents of lime green and blue on the heel and bottom. Really looking forward to diving into the symbols and significance of the details inscribed on the insole, as seen above too.
Finish Line’s Brandon Edler revealed the release date yesterday, with the Nike Store likely to announce theirs soon too. *sets up calendar alert*
