Gotta show some dap to the Jumpman’s newest collection that, if you’re perhaps a casual sneakerhead like myself, you’re seeing for the first time.
The timing is perfect as the “Hare” Jordan Retro 7 drops tomorrow Saturday May 16th and will be one of the most anticipated Jordan sneaker releases of 2015. The gallery above not only shows the official, detailed images but I also pulled out some of my favorites of the extensive #HareJordan collection. Oh yeah, apparel and nostalgia galore.
Few more things:
– How do you get one of those Bugs Wings posters? Need that in my future penthouse suite.
– My first pickup from the collection actually arrived today. Had to grab somethin’ new for tank season and this is instantly one of my favorite recent purchases.
– How great is the new 30 second remake with Bugs? A: GREAT.
To close out Black History Month, Nike has one more release up their sleeves and it’s with frequent collaborator Don C.
This all-new Don C x Air Jordan I collab is going to a good cause — being sold in an eBay Charity Auction all week. The auction goes live an hour from posting time and the winning bid will benefit the Ever Higher Fund, which unlocks “the potential of underserved youth by supporting charitable initiative that leverage the power of sport.”
Look fresh and help the youth? That’s a winning combination. If you’ve got the money to drop, head on over to justjordanbhm.com for all the details and to bid. #Salute to Don C, continuing to inspire all Chicago designers.
Don C’s luxury, leather headwear is now translating to Js — namely with this new Just Don x Air Jordan 2 collab, cleanly detailed in the gallery above.
Leather on your Js may feel like a lil much, but it definitely works all the same. The blue really pops, as do the details. My favorite being the Beaverton – Italy – Chicago patch, indicating that these Jordans follow the originals in being made with Italian leather in Italy.
To cop ’em, hold your breath til January 31st, the current rumored release date.
Drizzy continues to stunt on Instagram with his custom OVO Jordans. This one above is different from the rest because of the all gold everything + a never before seen detail of ‘6 I X’ on the tongue of this AJ3s. At this point, it looks like all these Js are exclusive to Drake, so I’m no longer anticipating a wide release. Jumpman should get on it though, these iterations will sell with Yeezy type buzz (a tier below that, IMHO). DiscussICYMI: Drake x Lil Wayne OVO Retro IIIs: Tour Edition
UPDATE: Had to bring this back up with some new photos, Roger Federer debuting the Air Jordan 3 x Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s yesterday at the U.S. Open, and finally, greatness meets greatness. Federer talks with MJ himself here:
Best believe it as Roger Federer will take to the blue U.S. Open courts in Flushing next week in style. He’ll rock these Air Jordan 3 x Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s that combine fashion and performance. As a fan of the elephant print 3s (I mean, who isn’t?), this one’s an instant overhead smash to me. I guess Novak Djokovic wasn’t playin’ when he said on Letterman last night that Roger Federer has the best on-court style. This is definitely cementing his place there too.
