50 Cent on Good Morning America

This morning, 50 Cent took over Good Morning America to talk about everything that’s keeping him busy lately… and it’s a lot. He explained writing the concepts for the Animal Ambition album around prosperity, his upcoming acting gigs (with some big-name A-listers), even some Miley Cyrus, and of course… that opening pitch.

A fantastic chart on ceremonial first pitch locations inspired after 50 Cent. Look at Snoop with the strike…

Also in the video above, watch 50’s full performance from Central Park (cool setting) as he’s flanked by Trey Songz for “Smoke”, the classic “In Da Club”, “Big Rich Town” with Joe, and “Just A Lil Bit”. Good theatrics and energy from Fif & Co.

Finally… if there’s one 50 Cent related item you should check out in this post, sit down with this great GQ feature on 50 Cent: the life coach. Yeah, the life coach. You’d be surprised at what you can learn from Fif in this unique piece and I came away with an even greater respect for him after reading.

50 Cent f/ Mr. Probz “Twisted”

50 & Co. get turned up in style in this instant fan favorite off ‘Animal Ambition’. The song dropped yesterday and I’ve seen mainly positive reaction from fans and fellow critics alike. Per usual with the album previews, here’s the video.

50 Cent f/ Trey Songz “Smoke” (prod. Dr. Dre)

One day after the audio release, here’s the new video from 50 for his Trey Songz, Dr. Dre assisted single “Smoke”. The visuals play with a sleek neon color palette and keep things as entertaining as the song. I personally like the overall sound of the single — signature Dre synths, Trey Songz showin’ his versatility with the hook and his verse (the end of which is nice), and 50’s grimy delivery. I should note that I didn’t like the lack of rhythm in the first verse, and was thankful 50’s flow returned for the second verse. Solid in every aspect and probably my favorite preview of Animal Ambition thus far.
