Tinashe may have wrapped up the promo and visuals for Aquarius with last night’s double video for “Bet / Feels Like Vegas” and follows that up today with the announcement of album #2 — JOYRIDE.
Producers said to have contributed: Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, Max Martin, and Dr. Luke. Watch the throwback 70s grain in the new trailer above. Hot beat so far too.
(Forgot to mention in the video post last night that the 720p60f setting is so smooth. I love seeing that for bball highlights, it worked well for Tinashe, and I hope it becomes the norm.)
NEW OVO in the wee hours of Sunday morning as OB OBrien gets the look with Drake and P.Reign contributing on “Schemin Up”.
It’s officially new Drake but it’s not quite new for the keen Gowhere visitor this week as his verse is actually heard on the Rich Homie Quan leak. This is the intended home for that verse as Drake also provides later vocals in the hook and transitions.
Produced by Boi-1da & 40, with Matthew Burnett. Not one of my favorite beats from them but it’s a catchy one for the casual listener. Tune in here:
All things a go for Nicki Minaj’s upcoming album, The Pinkprint. Pun intended as Nicki drops “All Things Go” off the album with pre-orders going live on iTunes tonite. The album drops December 15th, so we’ll likely get the full product soon.
As for the song itself, it’s one of Nicki’s more personal records of substance of the previews thus far. I appreciate this one as Nicki raps and then sings her own hook. I think the casual Nicki fan will likewise appreciate, especially with the dark tone of the production that’s become a staple from Boi-1da & Vinylz. The beat is more than solid, it’s superb.
Listen below (UPDATE: Explicit/CDQ):
One more note from the iTunes release: a bonus track called “Truffle Butter” features Drake & Lil Wayne and will appear as an iTunes exclusive. What to expect from a track called “Truffle Butter”…

Fresh off OVOSound with a surprise release is Drake with not one, not two, but three new tracks. Including last week’s leak of “How About Now” — the official, final version. Indulge and download below!
As you can see from the above credits, the producers are some familiar names along with Syk Sense (who co-produces the excellent, frenetic “6 God” beat with Boi-1da) and Jordan Evans (the Jodeci “My Heart Belongs To You” sampled “How Bout You”). These are the 2 of the 3 tracks I got as a *Tibs Fav. — “6 God” bangs, debuts a new delivery from Drizzy, and gets better as it goes along. First impression listen is a good one, no doubt. Plus, who is he sub-dissing with that chuckle-inducing Usher line? Tyga?
“How Bout You” has been steady in my playlist since its leak last weekend. The new, final version above bangs a little more clearly in the headphones so definitely put forth the effort to update your iTunes.
Finally, “Heat of the Moment” is the one straight R&B record of the trio and has all the makings to grow on me with more listens. With 40 behind the boards, and PARTYNEXTDOOR providing additional background vocals, it feels familiar but in a fresh way.
There’s my $0.02 — let’s hear your’s! Do the quick sign-up and drop a comment.
A new Drake leak, with no official word on the track and if it’s intended for Views From The 6. (UPDATE: Up top is a cool, albeit unofficial album art. Also, the song has been removed. Sorry, prolly shoulda led off with that.)
That said, produced by Boi-1da, “How About Now” samples Jodeci’s “My Heart Belongs To You” in Kanye chopped up sample fashion. It works as Drake melodically raps and reflects on a girl who didn’t put in enough energy back before he was a star. Drake plays the part of the relationship that did, and now, years later with Drake a star, he asks, “How About Now”? In brief, that F U track to an ex who didn’t appreciate ya. I think a lot of us can relate to that, so I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s vibing with this one. Drake’s delivery on the hook is well-done, per usual too. Plus, is that Nicki‘s voice on the voicemail in the intro? Listen/download while you can and we await word… Hopefully we’ll see an official release soon..!
Sidebar: Here’s my favorite photo of Drake at UK this weekend… him posing in front of former Bulls legends Marquis Teague and Keith Bogans. (h/t @SBN_Ricky)
Not one, but TWO new Game tracks off his Year of the Wolf compilation dropping next week October 14th. The first features Tunechi and Breezy and instantly recalls this…
Also scroll below for the Boi-1da produced “Married To The Game” featuring French Montana, Sam Hook, and Dubb.
Just in time for the start of the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour comes “Grindin'” — the second Lil Wayne Drake collab off the forthcoming Carter V. When you think of “Grindin'” you definitely think of the bangin’ Clipse classic, but time will tell if you’ll also think of this instant smash from 2 of today’s hottest rappers.
Naturally, this is an anthem for the hard work that I think got better as it went along. Wayne borrows the Migos flow, which I’m lukewarm about in general, and puts down some nice lines throughout. Drake’s verse concludes the record and he kills it over the bumpin’ beat from Boi-1da & Vinylz with his usual, refreshingly honest perspective. Plus, Drizzy has a few lines that may become iconic due to the motivating parallels:
