Shot in the Bay, masterfully by Collin Tilley in black and white, and a powerful mini-movie from Kendrick Lamar for “Alright”.
There’s some strong statements in this one on police brutality, along with an ending I didn’t see coming either. It’s super dope overall and some of these cinematic shots of San Francisco really drive home the scale of this video. And you’ll see how it progresses in general from that opening shot of the city. TDE cameos too so enjoy!
ICYMI: “Alright” (with a new verse) at the BET Awards
Chance debuts, not new music, but a short film called ‘Mr. Happy’, which is ironically not happy. See for yourself above and keep it locked for our experience from SXSW following Chance and more soon (scroll below too.)
Chance is like one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met and right away I was like, this dude is really special. We talked about film and he was telling me how he wanted to get more involved in it. Crazily enough, he had a lot of the same taste in weird movies as I do.
