All G.O.O.D. in 2015. Pusha T and I deaded everything and we creatively vibed with Kanye for this new LP.
The quote, and photo, via Hip Hop Wired as Consequence says above that the beef between he and Pusha T that stemmed from 2011 is now over. This is notable since this also means a return to collaboration. Which LP is Consequence referring to though? Kanye’s, Push’s, or his own? Whatever the case, I’m happy he’s back in the fold. Cons is an underrated lyricist.
Some new ish from Cons as he links up with Mark Crozer, singer of the theme music for WWE’s The Wyatt Family, for this new version of “The Whole World”. I initially got excited this was a flip of OutKast’s classic, but this slow, chill cut stands out and overcomes that feeling on its own. Nice animated artwork, too. Listen below:
Consequence’s new freestyle? Over Schoolboy Q’s single “Studio”. I’m not a fan of the beat really, but ‘Quence has some nice lines. I just think the production allows for a slower flow for Cons and I like hearing him faster typically. Just my two cents — here it goes:
Consequence naturally gets the wordplay going for a remix of De La Soul‘s new single “Vocabulary Spills”, produced by J Dilla. Scratches were also added by Audible Doctor, adding to the raw hip hop feel. Cons drops some slick lines, references abound, and puts down moments of alliteration as well.
