On the heels of adidas’ biggest off-season acquisition (James Harden at $200 million), they release official images and release dates for Derrick Rose’s 6th signature shoe — the adidas #DRose6.
As you can see above, the Bulls colors take to the forefront for the away version with the home mixing white and silver. I dig the look of these much more than last year’s 5’s and it’s especially cool to see them in context of the city or Derrick’s own foot in the Instagrams below. The up close detail shots are key too and it looks like a shoe to hold in person and really get a feel for it.
The Home drops October 15th and the Away drops November 5th. Creators never stop. *nods head*
FOH shoe leaks!
Probably not what D. Rose and adidas were thinking exactly, but after some rumored looks at Rose’s 6th signature shoe hit the web recently, Rose himself revealed a sleek black/red colorway on his Facebook.
Pretty sweet photo, first and foremost, and it’s cool to see the overall aesthetic continue to look much different than its predecessor. I wasn’t a fan of the 5’s look as much and holding on my full praise til I see the 6 in person or on the court. Either way, a cool first step and hopefully the shoes will aid Rose and the Bulls to the promised land this season! (That’s most important!)
“Creators never stop.”
(I dig that, adidas.)
It’s with good reason to believe these leaked images of the adidas D Rose 6 Boost are legit in the gallery above.
Sole Collector got their hands on the Christmas colorway and astutely point out the Statue of Liberty esque mint green and copper. I dig the two together and will further speculate that the Bulls will visit MSG at Christmas in 6 months? I wonder if the companies collaborate on that.
But whatever the case, I also included previous leaked looks at other colorways of the Rose 6. You’ll notice a radical aesthetic change to the shoe compared to last year’s model (and all of Rose’s models, in fact) so it’s good to see adidas pushing it again. I wasn’t a fan of the 5 too much and though the 6 doesn’t quite move the needle, I do believe this will look great on the court and on TV. Weird to see what you can interpret as four stripes for an adidas shoe too, btw. Lookin’ forward to the official images though and what marketing campaign Rose and Team adidas will be leading this time around…
