It’s a quick 20 seconds, but a preview is a preview and at least this one’s legit since you do get a sense of a new flow from Drake. He played this one out in Houston last night; I’d look for it sooner than later with his fairly steady stream of new releases.
NEW Drake this morning as he links up with his OVO Sound partna OB OBrien for a new remix of Tinashe’s “2 On”. The DJ Mustard beat is a suitable backdrop for Drizzy, who adds a verse after OB’s and then breaks it down in the slowed-down “Thotful” part of the track. You can guess what that one becomes about, right? Interesting to note: this one was recorded this weekend as Drake alluded to on Twitter.
BONUS: Another OB OBrien track is released in tandem — it’s a solo cut dedicated to a girl named “Hazelton Trump”. I dig the choppy flow and clear story to follow; plus, the Nicki Minaj sample that surfaces is straight up hypnotic.
Wayne, Drake, produced in lethal fashion by Boi-1da and Vinylz. Drizzy kicks it off and spits the hook — both of the high quality of his recent solo releases. But that’s not all from Drake. Before he comes back, Weezy spits a nice verse from beginning to end. The first few lines and the latter half particularly shine. Then the beat slows down for more raps from Drake, then Wayne. Unique structure, and though I like the first half of the 5:39 song more, I’m going to have this rollin’ all the way through. Add this one to the rotation, it will fire ya up for Carter V.
I’m the only one that get the job done, I don’t know a n**** that can cover for me.
Got some game from my daddy, so she might say she love me, she don’t love me like she say she love me.
Believe me, believe me. I’m the n**** boy they love me in the street.
I’m not tryin’ to find nobody else to be. I’m the one they see because they all..
