Wait, what? Drake‘s lint rolling phenomenon is going for $54,997.34 more than it should.
The backstory: Game 2. Drake, sitting courtside, vigorously rolls his black pants with a lint roller he brought from home.
Game 5. The Raptors next home game. The team cleverly teams up with its ambassador to giveaway 1200 OVO Raptors lint rollers to lucky fans. The news incited a fun twitter interaction between myself and Bounce — the company winning by co-branding with Drake.
Today, one of the 1200 lint rollers sold on eBay for a whopping $55,000.
Open invitation to Drake: I’m looking across the table at clear masking tape that I’d be happy to put the OVO Owl on. We’ll put this one, half-used roll of masking tape on eBay and split the profits. I’ll have my people get in touch with your people.
After the preview by Floyd Mayweather earlier today, here’s the single art for Wayne & Drake‘s latest… coming very soon! #CarterVSeason
And as a bonus: Drake actually teamed up with Bounce to provide Raptors fans at tonight’s game with official OVO Lint Rollers. Haaa! Just when you seen it all…
Is this a trend? Lil Wayne recruiting his sports friend superstars to promote ‘Carter V Season‘?!
Monday it was Kobe Bryant. Today, Floyd Mayweather, who dropped this official preview video of Lil Wayne & Drake working on “Believe Me” for Weezy’s hotly anticipated album. The beat sounds pretty lethal so far. Full version undoubtedly coming sooner than later…
UPDATE (11:35pm 05.02.14): The full version is now here!
Does Hov take a jab at Drake on Khaled‘s first single, “They Don’t Love You No More”?
Jay’s concluding lines of the song may be a subliminal:
Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my draw string
Wrong sports, bro, you know you’re as soft as a Lacrosse team
I dunno though, aren’t lacrosse players tough?
And is Jay trying to one-up Drake by not only collaborating with Khaled (a Drake staple) for the first time, but also over a Mike Zombie beat. At least that’s how the interwebs are instantly reacting. I personally don’t think this is a huge deal unless Jay were to name Drake directly.
I don’t care as much for the verses by Meek Mill and Rick Ross before Jay’s and French Montana on the hook. I do like Zombie cutting in some of the “Started” production as well. Give this aggressive track a listen below:
Last week when Drake appeared on Bill & Jalen’s NBA Preview, he talked about the evolution of his hometown Raptors into the East’s 3 seed and the franchise’s best moments. Above is an all-new video released by Grantland today — the extended version. Watch Drake, Bill, and Jalen banter about more Raptors-related topics including management, how his role as global ambassador of the team came about, and what this year’s run means for the city of Toronto. Plus, Jalen recalls some times as a player for the Raptors meeting a young Drake and Melanie Fiona.
And just because I finally have the perfect post to include this in…
The Raptors are now 1-0 when Drake remembers to bring his lint roller.
Hey, like always, Drizzy had fun with it…
