Still basking in the new energy of 2015, I stumbled upon this quickly viral video of the biggest fireworks display at midnight around the world.
It wasn’t NYC or London… it was Manila, Philippines.
Perhaps there’s a home country bias here, but Mashable and the likes picked up this video above of the entire skyline lit up with booming fireworks, spreading from the TRON: Legacy downtown to the distant sky 360 degrees from it. Very cool — visually and audibly. Gotta go visit.
We’re still in the 4th of July spirit here on Gowhere and I wanted to share a video that’s been making its viral rounds since the holiday — simply put: “Fireworks filmed with a drone”.
The user says, “Flying through a firework show with a DJI Phantom 2 and filming it with a GoPro Hero 3 silver. The quad was not damaged.” The light and how close it is to the camera is simply breathtaking. And I was just talking with someone on the 4th about how cool it would be to view the fireworks from atop the explosions in a helicopter. Well, I now know 100% it will be cool.
And if that’s not great enough, the video is set to Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partirò”, a staple for Bellagio Casino Water Shows, and how I’ll always remember this song: the closing scene of Step Brothers.
