Fresh off the release of his new ‘10 Bulletz‘ mixtape, G-Unit Artist Young Buck is set to debut a new publication with Resource Printing, Inc. ($REVI) called: Young Buck “Behind The Wall” – A celebrities life in prison based on a true story.
After selling millions of records, traveling the world with 50 Cent and the G-Unit crew and becoming a international rap superstar in the early 2000s, David “Young Buck” Brown fell from grace with a thud in 2012 when he was sentenced to 18 months in a Federal prison in Mississippi, on weapons charges. There the talented rhyme slinger, who grew up hard while running the streets of Nashville, TN, was forced to reevaluate the decisions that landed him behind bars by facing his fears and acknowledging his past failures so he could begin to craft a new plan that would help to once again rise him to the top. Buck’s tale is a modern day version of the redemption of a powerful hip-hop celebrity who fell off course but was able to learn from his mistakes enough to change the path of his future, while also learning how to help others in his unfortunate situation to do the same
Release date: Coming soon
“I love hip-hop! The first song I memorized was “Fireman” by Lil Wayne. Ever since then…it’s Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, the Game. When I was in high school, my boyfriend and I would drive around and he’d always point to this neighborhood where [rapper] Young Buck lived. We would drive and look at his cars and be like, “Oh my gawd! Those cars are so cool! I wonder if he’s in there!” – Taylor Swift
Late night TV was filled with hip hop tonight and on Jimmy Fallon, 50 Cent & Co. joined The Roots for a performance of “I’m Grown” off their new project. Nostalgia officially sets in when I see 50 and Banks and them all on stage together. Watch below, ICYMI.
G-Unit is back again with their first project since last fall — a 6 track EP titled The Beast Is G-Unit.
It’s available on iTunes and streaming on Spotify below. I’ll see if 50 & Co. have another hit or two up their sleeves here.
New 50 & Eminem?! I’m always in for a listen to that. And from 50’s quick conceptual preview, I’m even more intrigued about what will be called “Champions.”
It sounds like one of those hit records you’ve heard from Eminem in the past with an R&B singer on the chorus. It’s one of those songs that he wrote his portion of the song before I got there.
– 50 Cent
I wonder who the singer will be. Watch the full interview below. #TBT on the pic too.
BONUS: Here’s a preview of G-Unit’s upcoming EP, Before The Beast. “Boy Boy” features the crew, sans Lloyd Banks, over production from !llmind, Jake One, and G-Koop.
It’s Shady XV day — celebrating 15 years of Shady Records since Marshall’s debut album, The Slim Shady LP. It’s a 2-disc set with the 1st containing all new records from the label; Eminem appearing on over half of them. Disc 2 is some familiar classics + the bonus track demo version of “Lose Yourself” that dropped last week and I have a full review on in the link.
Of the new Eminem tracks on Disc 1, and save for the official releases before today, I’d check “Twisted” with Skylar Grey & Yelawolf. Em’s familiar collaborator for a killer female hook does it again, yet this one’s different because the song is, as advertised, twisted. Brings me back to the Eminem of 10/15 years ago.
