Ludacris w/ The Roots “What’s Your Fantasy (Acoustic)”

“What’s Your Fantasy” was a go-to, silly, feel-good song back with the high school homies. In fact, I go way back with Who Dough (fun fact!) and I vividly remember this song blarin’ from his Jeep once.

That’s neither here nor there, except maybe to show our collective age, but the song gets a breath of fresh air last night as Luda performed the classic single, acoustic style with help from The Roots. Pretty awesome on paper, and pretty awesome in GoPro (!) video form above.

The Weeknd LIVE in London with GoPros

Greatest show of my entire life….it’s over from now on. We can’t go backwards from this. We can’t go backwards…

The Weeknd recently sold out the famous O2 in London and he teamed up with GoPro to beautifully capture the Kiss Land Tour overseas. In the process, we get exhibit #1067 of why GoPros are so cool with a variety of angles and lenses capturing Weeknd both near and far. The fish eye on the mic stand looking up instantly yields a view we rarely (if at all) see in concerts. Plus, the post-production process shines as not only the editing, but the color correction from “The Town” to “Belong To The World” are magnificent.

Finally, the audio is perfect as well, as Weeknd’s vocals, plus his band, were crystal clear — just the way I remember in Chicago. For Weeknd fans, this video is simply put, a must-see.

GoPro: Red Bull Stratos

Remember back in 2012 when Felix Baumgartner broke the sound barrier and set a record for longest freefall, um, ever? Yeah, it was pretty incredible. Dude just fell out of a satellite from outer space.

Well, I’m just catching wind of some all-new footage from the Red Bull Stratos as GoPro releases a first-person view of Felix’s freefall in this video above. There were GoPros attached to each of Baumgartner’s limbs and extending out to face him as well.

The video doesn’t begin with Baumgartner falling; it’s actually a 4 and a half minute unfiltered intro that shows the moments and dialogue immediately before Baumgartner takes the plunge. When he does, the footage that ensues is amazing. Be sure to max. this out in HD so you can see all the details of the stars during Felix’s minute and a half spin. Pretty amazing stuff guys!
