Audio Push has a unique collab on their hands with “Fwd Back” enlisting the help of Riff Raff and King Chip. First collab across the board, if I’m not mistaken. On top of that, scroll below for another bonus new track as Beatboy & Hit-Boy co-produce “OTW”.
It’s not much, but it’s new info on the enigmatic Frank Ocean and his long-awaited, highly-anticipated sophomore album.
Billboard reports that Frank Ocean has been signed to management with Three Six Zero (Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 and Kate Nash) and has logged studio time with Hit-Boy & Darkchild. Whoo! As a fan of both, I’m excited to hear their sounds mesh with Ocean’s (especially given Darkchild’s longtime big-name R&B collabs).
The article also notes Ocean is still working with frequent collaborators Happy Perez, Charlie Gambetta and Kevin Ristro. Needless to say, we’ll be looking forward to the next development…
Here’s a dope contribution to the L.A. Leakers upcoming compilation project, Leaks of the Industry ’14, and it’s the Dot Da Genius produced Logic x HS87 collab “Everything I Am”. The beat itself sets the tone with Jay Z sampled for the hook. All parties involved do their thing on the verses too that this becomes a nice add for any rap fan before the project drops in full with even more collabs.
Once again, you may have seen a lack of updates on the site the past couple of days. We were undergoing some site updates even though we were still live and running. Now that we’re back live and running I got your roundup of Tuesday’s new content right here!
I actually thought it would be natural to start with the albums that were released today. I like all 3 of these artists and the albums of which I’ve previewed already — Jhene Aiko Souled Out, Lecrae Anomaly, and Banks Goddess are all in stores now! Be sure to listen and support, and then scroll below for more new videos, songs, and Monday’s Roundup as well!
I thought it appropriate to start with Pharrell’s appearance on CNN, talking about the Ferguson situation a few weeks past now. He thinks President Obama should come to Ferguson — do you agree? Sound off here, then see some more big names below: Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Common, Sam Smith & A$AP Rocky, and more.

It’s been a minute since I’ve heard some Rich Boy, but I’ll forever enjoy his “Ghetto Rich” collab with John Legend. Here, Rich Boy links with Hit-Boy (ha!) who produced this track back in 2009, citing Mr. X, and gets a verse from Game on this track that seems fitting for a windows-down cruise. Not bad all the way around, but I’ve enjoyed other work by all three parties more for sure too.
A Saturday night BOMB from Beyonce.
Out of nowhere the Queen lets loose of a new track featuring a guest rap verse from Nicki Minaj on “Flawless”. Ladies, here’s you’re new “I’m the sh*t” anthem. And right away, Beyonce addresses the “elevator incident” with hubby Jay and sissy Solange:
Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.
As for Nicki, she puts down a multitude of flows in her guest verse, slowing things down, speeding things up, and delivering things weird like only she can. “Flawless” shows Beyonce & Nicki near pique aggressiveness and if that’s your cup of tea, you’ll likely enjoy.
Listen at flawless.beyonce.com or below — the official remix to “Flawless”, as produced by Hit-Boy.
Song since removed.
“The Boy” Casey Veggies drops a hot free release with this one produced by Hit-Boy and a couple from his HS87 crew Rey Reel & Haze Banga. If you recognize this one, you likely heard or saw the videos of Drake previewing this song during DJ sets last year. Final product turned out pretty nice. The repetitive hook is either love or hate as the production stands out regardless.
