Last night at Big Sean’s Grammy Weekend set at the HoB Sunset, the stars were out and it was Kanye who took over the headlines. He called out Nike real quick up above saying, “Y’all should thank Nike because they made me make these songs right here,” West says before performing ‘New Slaves'”.
Also partaking as part of Big Sean’s set was Travi$ Scott, Justin Bieber, Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, Tyga, YG and DJ Mustard for “IDFWU”. And as you can tell in the photo below too, J. Lo, J. Cole, and the Jenners were at the show too.
Finally, be sure to also peep an entertaining video of Kanye letting an aspiring rapper spit some bars to him last night. Love that guy’s thankful reaction at the very end, haha.
The long-awaited first look at the adidas Yeezy Boost — the newly revealed name and photos up above and below for Kanye’s first signature shoe in adidas, set to premiere next week during New York Fashion Week on February 12th.
Wow, I’m really feelin’ this, no jocking. I dig the slate grey (looks like suede too), the shoe’s overall shape, and the bottom sole especially. What do you think? Weigh in on Twitter @gowherehiphop.
UPDATE: Contrary to reports, Paul McCartney did not co-produce all of Kanye West’s new album, reps for McCartney and West tell Rolling Stone.
Reps also confirm that the album title that Ellen released saying Kanye’s album would be titled Only One are not true. Kanye will be appearing on Ellen this week, January 29th.
01.25.14: News via a simple IG comment from close Kanye collaborator and friend, Ibn Jasper:
Hey, as simple as that. And no surprise that yesterday’s surprise mega-hit in the making by Rihanna, Kanye, and Paul will be on both Ri-Ri & Kanye’s albums. Excited for more Kanye x Paul vibes. The first two have been welcoming and clearly have a calmer tone than Yeezus. No doubt Kanye was going to keep evolving.
An Instagram roundup of Kanye’s headlining set at Bonnaroo last night! The new set premiered at the X Games in Austin last week made another appearance and some of these photos do the screen and silhouette justice.
Plus, Ibn Jasper had an interesting IG on Kanye x Bonnaroo – that, plus his caption are below Kim K. Needless to say though, Kanye @ Bonnaroo looks like an awesome show.
//instagram.com/p/pOuWRoMmHJ/embed/ The press ALWAYS wants to take a small incident and blow it out of proportion to make a sensational story…. But when you really come thru and kill it they ALWAYS try to downplay your accomplishments, or they simply ain’t nowhere to be found…… #WhereThePressAt
A story broke out in a thread on ‘Kanye To The’ where one forum member somehow got a hold of “Black Bruce Wayne” and sold it to another.
Long story short, the leaker agreed to sell the full song for $500, yet only released 30 seconds. The buyer (obviously) put it on SoundCloud immediately.
No word on when this was recorded, what project it’s for, or any other details for that matter. It does sound good, it does sound legit, and it does cleverly name-drop Ibn Jasper in the first couple bars. Take it for what it is, people! Kanye fans be wilin’…
Also… that’s Kanye West as Batman for Halloween (apparently). Love when there’s that perfect photo for the song.
