After a strong showing with the “Strong Anticipation” single and video, we no longer have to hold any anticipation for J*DaVeY‘s comeback EP, POMP. The 30 minute project is available for full streaming below via NPR and it’s no doubt hitting my rotation a week before the EP becomes available everywhere else.
J*DaVeY returned last week with the audio to the all-new video today. It’s a quick-hit visual with a cool edge to it given we’re treated to 3 Jack Davey’s in the same room. The brief look at Brook D’Leau under the palm trees was a clean shot as well.
“Our friend Thed Jewel created, directed, and styled the video,” says Brook about the video. “She is a woman waiting for something to complete her when she hasn’t found herself yet. She could be either one of the 3 projections of herself. Their interactions are reflective of the voices she hears telling her who she is and isn’t.” (via VIBE)
Lend an eye and ear with the POMP EP dropping May 19th.
It’s great to hear some new music from the L.A. duo J*DaVeY after what seems like awhile. Their prepping a new project titled Rookie and today released a new song/visualizer for “Deadly”. Yeah, a visualizer above to enjoy the track while seeing Brook D’Leau and Jack DaVeY animated in a cool design look. As a bonus to the download below, also listen to Rookie‘s other preview: “Love? Yeah!” — which I may actually like more than “Deadly”. So that said, you have your next 8 minutes or so decided.
