OVO Fest is already going on 6 years, which is crazy to think about, but it’ll go down the first weekend of August without a hitch and today, Drake announced the full lineup.
Looks like he’ll be merging J. Cole’s summer tour and calling on good friend Kevin Hart to perform in the T. Dot. No doubt the ‘6th’ version of OVO Fest will be a special one given that Views From The 6 should be up next.
In other news… (as you may have suspected…)
The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.
Today’s NBA themed First Take took place at All-Star Weekend and a trio of guests came thru the debate desk. Kevin Hart is back and it’s always a good time. He has some real nice burns on Stephen A. so watch above and below for that.
Fab and Nelly also came through and offered some serious insight on the NBA. This was one episode I went out of my way to tune into live so with that said, press play ICYMI.
Last night, Kevin Hart hosted SNL and he brought the house down a few times: my favorite being a monologue that clearly is up his alley as a standup comedian. I also enjoyed the skit with Jay Pharoah as his illegitimate son.
ICYMI, and if you missed musical guests Sia’s interesting performances, watch ’em all below.
Saturday funnies courtesy of Kevin Hart as his promo run is on one hundred with The Wedding Ringer out soon (and then Get Hard with Will Ferrell later this spring).
Up above, he shares a classic Jay Z & Beyonce story that you may have heard before. But if not, it’s worth fast forwarding to the 22 minute mark for just a couple of minutes. The interview as a whole with The Breakfast Club is a great listen though as Hart gets serious about his mindset and approach to things, which makes me respect his hustle even more.
Back to the funnies, Kevin Hart was also on Jimmy Fallon and they created a game called ‘Slapjack’. Basically, Blackjack but the winner gets to slap the other. Pretty hilarious. Kevin Hart is hosting SNL tonite, so tune in for more fun.
The premise is hilarious on paper: Will Ferrell has 30 days before he goes to maximum security prison and enlists the help of Kevin Hart to give him tips about surviving in prison.
Get Hard released its second trailer today up above and it gets even funnier with the newly revealed character played by T.I. Man, it would have been fun to be on set with this group. Many quotables on deck, and from the trailer alone. Enjoy!
