Last night, Need For Speed was the first movie trailer seen in the Super Bowl — a nice look for the Aaron Paul-led film on the famous racing franchise that’s set to hit theatres this Spring. Also in the movie: none other than Kid Cudi. He and Paul introduce this web-only extended trailer that didn’t play in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, Cudi is only in the trailer at the very end, but the movie does look like one us fellas will enjoy. Check it out!
Per usual with news updates, Cudi announces them himself on Twitter (@ducidni) and earlier today he thanks the fans for their patience and promises that the Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon EP that he recently announced plans for a February release, will now be a full-fledged album. It’ll be the fourth album for Cud in the past six years and like the three before, I’ll be in great anticipation. We won’t have to wait too long: Cudi still plans for a Satellite Flight takeoff this February.

At the end of 2013, Cud fans were promised a new EP from the man himself, but as December rolled around, Cudi wasn’t quite ready to drop the next project. He did drop the stellar “Satellite Flight” title track that is holding me over until he does in fact drop it, which we now know is February.
Cudi reveals the release month in a series of tweets in the gallery above, and in the process also tells us where Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon fits within the story of all his albums! I love the concept of all the albums tying together and again, can’t wait for the next chapter. Pretty rad, Cud.
Looks like Cali will be the place to be come April. The previously revealed and majorly announced headliner OutKast leads a real nice group of urban artists like Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Chi-Town’s 2013 star Chance The Rapper, Jhene Aiko, and oh yeah, this guy named Nas. A couple more notable Chicago acts include Flosstradamus and Krewella. Who’s on your personal lineup?! Hope you got tickets already!
Some news that may have escaped you over the weekend is a new studio session by Justin Bieber. He’s not done after the new release of Journals, as Bieber Instagramed this photo of the moonman Kid Cudi flicking us off. Hmm, this collab should have contrasting sounds, and is one that is none too surprising to see for those that have this throwback photo engrained somewhere in their memory.
