It’s been nearly a year since The Weeknd‘s critically acclaimed album, Kiss Land, so perhaps now is a good time for a refresher. You can do just that with a refreshing sound of the original, in fact, as a SoundCloud user by D.D.85 has flipped the whole album. By no means did I discover this on my own though. The Weeknd co-signed it himself:
Though I can’t yet get the distinct sounds of the production out of my head, especially with the first two tracks “Professional” and “The Town”, I do appreciate the new work done on it by D.D.85. It’s different, yet doesn’t stray away from the vibe of The Weeknd in general so it works. Without further ado, hear for yourselves below.

It’s been one hell of a year for The Weeknd. And he keeps it coming, this time with a lyric video for Wanderlust. One of my favorite tracks off his Kiss Land album, it’s a bit disappointing that it is ONLY a lyric video. I mean, look at the frenzy he caused when he dropped the “Drunk In Love” and “Or Nah” remix. Those songs were like the fertility joints of the month, damn near getting everyone pregnant at random establishments (club, golf course, Home Depot, Petsmart, etc.) However despite the very minimal visuals, The Weeknd does a great job combining the flashy text with the dark, grimy decor of the city. Again I wished it was an actual music video but who knows, maybe this promo signals a potential music video drop (fingers crossed).
