Tonight, Kanye West headlined Philadelphia’s Made In America Festival: Day 1 as he came out to his 2014 set of the large rectangular screen and a series of turn-up songs like “Black Skinhead”, “I Don’t Like” (still showin’ the Chi love), and “Mercy”. I’m diving into this myself but read on Twitter there was no new music debuted and also a mishap with the lighting that ‘Ye instructed Virgil Abloh to fix. Kanye West is headlining Jay Z’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia this summer on Labor Day Weekend. The festival is also running simultaneously in L.A. for the first time this year. While we wait word on that lineup, Philly will also include Kings of Leon co-headlining, Pharrell, J. Cole, Girl Talk, Spoon, De La Soul, Danny Brown, Chromeo, The National, Tiesto, Grimes, DJ Cassidy, Holy Ghost, YG, The Neighborhood, Kongos, AWOLNation, Steve Aoki and Mayer Hawthorne. This year on Labor Day weekend, Jay-Z’s very own “Made In America” music festival will meet the west coast for the first time.
Los Angeles will host the two day extravaganza August 30-31 in L.A. Grand Park.
Though a lineup has not yet been announced, early bird tickets are already on sale with two-day passes in L.A. ranging from $125-$185 & $100-$150 for the two-day passes at the Philadelphia location.
