Drake tweeted this video out last nite, which had me intrigued because I thought it could be somethin’ new.
It was somethin’.
Apparently this is a series by pianist Chilly Gonzales who breaks down pop music to its core chords. Here he is honestly puzzled by the key of “Tuesday”. I like how he presents everything though and the video doubles as educational and humorously entertaining. Enjoy.
Makonnen is back with an all-new, official single titled “Super Clean” and it’s for the upcoming project, Drink More Water 5.
You’ll instantly flow with the watery production (naturally) helmed by Phantom Power. I, however, can’t quite get into Makonnen’s flow, especially after the first couple lines of each verse. It’s more of a rap flow than the singing on “Tuesday”. I’d rather hear this beat with some singing too and I definitely thought of Makonnen’s OVO boss Drake when hearing it because I feel like he would especially kill this.
Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming project. For now, tune in below.
Makonnen makes his national TV debut… on a Tuesday.
Sorry, too easy. But yeah, Jimmy Fallon loves to be the leader in breaking these new artists on a national stage. Makonnen’s the latest as he reps his new OVO stable along the way. Watch above ICYMI earlier tonight.
Whoa! Crazy scene from Makonnen’s debut NYC performance at SOBs. A fan reached out to shake his hand from the front row during his performance of hit single “Tuesday” (of which the video dropped the other nite) and he ended up pulling down Makonnen from the stage and throwing a punch. Fortunately, Makonnen’s entourage was quick to surround him and the scuttle was quickly settled. Makonnen then proceeded to perform his new single “I Don’t Sell Molly No More” (below).
