There is no lackin’ on the Treated Crew duo White Gzus (Blanco Caine & Gzus Piece) as they unleash their third project and latest installation to the SNM series with “Stacking N Mackin Vol 3”. The project features the likes of Treated brethren Mic Terror and Saint Millie, as well as Josh K. The Production of the project is handled primarily by in-house producer Mr E, as well as Doc Da Mindbenda, Justice League, Metro Boomin, amongst others.
Better than ever, we get the latest release of the Chicago rap-duo, White Gzus [Blanco Caine & Gzus Piece]. Their latest effort “Stackin N Mackin Vol 2” was a no brainer after the stellar debut of the first incarnation of this project’s series. This second edition features Treated Crew brethren Mic Terror, Jon James, as well as an onslaught of phenomenal production from the likes of Mr. E, Cardo, Mike Jaxx, amongst others. All hail White Gzus, in the Black Jesus edition of their cover, pretty clever stuff! In addition, make sure to check out the Chicago Tribune article of White Gzus!
Treated Crew beatsmith Doc Da Mindbenda has had a tremendous 2014 that comes to a conclusion with his recent released project “The Prescription Vol.1”, a project that captures some of Doc’s best tracks of the year and also includes some additional never before heard records. The project includes his work with Dally Auston, Sulaiman, Vic Spencer, Sean Price, Neon Pajamas, Mic Terror, YP, Keenan Coke, Monster Mike, as well as some GrindHouse remixes of some of his favorite records of this year.
#TreatedCrew invades NYC.
Good to see the Chicago collective rollin’ heavy through not only Sway in the Morning, but the first stop on their Connoisseurs Tour last night at SRBs and through the Stussy NYC (@callmemano on IG for those).
Below are the videos from their stop off with Sway as Mano and Holt led the way in the interview that put some shine on the entire crew that made the trip — Mic Terror, Nick Jr., Jon James, Heron Da Don, Gzus Piece, and OG Webbie. They talked about the essence of #TreatedCrew, the new Treated Tribe project on iTunes and their clothing collab with St. Alfred’s & Stussy. And finally, Mano opened up for the first time about his parting of ways with Kanye West as his tour DJ (18 min. mark). Accompanying the sit-down, which is a nice play in your background this afternoon, is an in-studio performance of “Hit A Lick”. #Treated!
Treated Crew’s Sulaiman is one of the most overlooked emcees and one of the hardest working and disciplined artists in the city. He doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, his work illustrates his love and passion for Hip-Hop and does it with ease. With that being said we get Suli’s latest offering “The Mogs”, a project that wasn’t promoted and that we didn’t know that was dropping but it is out for the world to enjoy. It is a project that was recorded 2012-2013 and features the likes of Chance The Rapper, Caleb James, GLC, The GTW, Gzus Piece, Highlife, Mic Terror, Naledge, Paypa, Paul Scientific, and Vic Spencer.
Treated Crew is about ready to heat up the summer.
The Chicago tribe first let loose this new warm-up track “Street Organization” for the return of #TreatedTuesdays yesterday. Mano produces a trap-heavy banger that finds the crew trading verses from beginning to end. Definitely a pump up track for the ride, the club, (your office?) wherever.
In some Treated Crew news tidbits, the end of May will see release to their anticipated collaboration album and their long-teased clothing collaboration with Stussy. I been seeing the members on Instagram post little glimpses at the collab and the end product is sure to take their #Treated brand to another level. The show and album are on May 31st to be exact, with the show actually happening overseas in Tokyo. #PowerMoves.
And finally, Mano instagrammed some news himself as he signed a co-pub deal with Warner/Chappell Music. As you can see, #Treated will be all over this summer.
