Kid Cudi f/ Skylar Grey “Hero”

Two of my favorite voices in the game come together for the first time in “Hero” as Kid Cudi and Skylar Grey contribute this one to the Need For Speed Soundtrack. No surprise here as Cudi is one of the film’s stars (with Aaron Paul, the lead, on the cover above). Cudi kicks it off and handles the first half of the song β€” his tempo setting the tone and getting better throughout. I felt Skylar took it to another level both lyrically and vocally for the latter half of the record and all in all, it’s an instant *Tibs Fav. and one that IΒ know will grow on me with more listens. Don’t look further for a new track on this Tuesday β€” my pick of the day, and an output that I feel fans of Cudi and Skylar will enjoy too.

Song since removed.

Kid Cudi AMA Recap

Late last week, Kid Cudi hopped on Reddit for another fascinating celebrity AMA. I am a casual visitor of Reddit, because every time I do, I get too hooked (a good and bad thing). Anyway, I’m happy I saw this one as Cudi shared some love with his fans who did the same while asking about new projects, old projects, and more. Some interesting tidbits were naturally shared from Cudi himself and I aggregated my favorites in the gallery above. Scroll through to see Cud clear up why a Schoolboy Q collab hasn’t happened, unfortunately describe that How To Make It In America is completely dead, and more. Also included: official Need For Speed premiere images from the private screening this past week in Burbank.

Read the FULL AMA here (worth it to see the long post one fan wrote to Cudi, which he responded to in the last answer in the gallery above).

h/t to Brugge on the find (he leads Gowhere in all-time hat tips)

Need For Speed [Extended Trailer]

Last night, Need For Speed was the first movie trailer seen in the Super Bowl β€” a nice look for the Aaron Paul-led film on the famous racing franchise that’s set to hit theatres this Spring. Also in the movie: none other than Kid Cudi. He and Paul introduce this web-only extended trailer that didn’t play in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, Cudi is only in the trailer at the very end, but the movie does look like one us fellas will enjoy. Check it out!
