ScHoolboy Q Debuts at #1

ScHoolboy Q’s third LP “Oxymoron” debuts at #1 on Billboard this week with sales right under 140,000. Representing his label mate and frequented musical partner Kendrick Lamar in the best way possible, this becomes the largest opening week sales for a Hip-Hop album in 2014. It’s fantastic to see ScHoolboy get the shine he deserves and as a follower of his music since “Habits & Contradictions” his growth is being well rewarded!

Elsewhere on the charts, Kid Cudi’s surprise album bows gracefully at #4 with sales of 87,000 copies. Cudi, who’s last album debuted at #2 on the charts with higher opening week sales, released the album with no promotion, warning, or indication of doing so.

Sounds familiar doesn’t it?
