The 2014 Grammys are ongoing and here are the performances in case you missed him. Bey & Jay kicked off the show hot and heavy with “Drunk In Love” kicking off the post above. Also below: Kendrick Lamar & Imagine Dragons, Daft Punk, Pharrell, & Nile Rodgers with Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and damn near everybody… (no Kanye tho :-/) Enjoy!
The “ballroom version” of Pharrell‘s 24-hour “Happy” music video is officially released today. Fitting because it’s Friday! We can all use some happy in our lives, right?
J. Hud and her new Pharrell-produced single “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” gets a well-deserved, pretty flashy visual as T.I. joins in all dappered up in a tux and Hudson shows off a variety of sexy, revealing outfits as well. Give it a look-see above.
Checking in with D.C. band RDGLDGRN, the trio broke out to a national level last year with their self-titled debut album and a standout performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to name a couple of their accolades. And today comes the new music video for another one of those: the Pharrell co-written “Doing The Most”, track 02 on the debut album and a *TIBS FAV. even before these lively visuals demanded a renewed listen. They premiered today on Pharrell’s IamOther channel and feature the three colors in their natural environment in a way that doesn’t feel contrived. Their love for soccer, for instance, is on full display. Keep your eyes peeled for footage of their studio sessions with Pharrell in a couple places as well. Salutations to RDGLDGRN, who are about to embark on another nationwide tour this winter so be sure to catch em while they’re in your town!
Need another co-sign to the video besides Pharrell’s (and mine :D)? That’s Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters in the intro and on the drums and they shared it to their fans today too. Watch above!
Looks like Cali will be the place to be come April. The previously revealed and majorly announced headliner OutKast leads a real nice group of urban artists like Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Chi-Town’s 2013 star Chance The Rapper, Jhene Aiko, and oh yeah, this guy named Nas. A couple more notable Chicago acts include Flosstradamus and Krewella. Who’s on your personal lineup?! Hope you got tickets already!
