On cue today is the new 6-track EP from the Mobb, Survival of the Fittest, which came about after their ESPN NBA Remix of the title track and throwback classic. Now it’s accompanied by some raw beats and rhymes on the handful of original tracks below. I went through it and was noddin’ my head throughout. Give it a listen below:

Mobb Deep talks 20 years of ‘The Infamous’
Nas’ Illmatic XX isn’t the only classic rap album commemorating 20 years this month. Mobb Deep changed the game as well in ’95 with The Infamous and their new double album The Infamous Mobb Deep hit stores on April 1st. With the 20th anniversary technically coming up this April 25th, the duo sat down with the homie GY312 to reflect on the 20 years that has past.
Prodigy and Havoc not only talk about the inspiration for the 20th anniversary new album and tour, but also some Snoop and ‘Pac, staying hungry, and how music becomes timeless. Their perspectives were interesting to hear towards the end of this installment of In The Groove, with a quick cameo from 50 Cent closing out the video for good.
