Of course Marlon Wayans had to break out the Pharrell hat too, right?
Here’s a sneak peak at the entertaining new Lip Sync Battle with Marlon emulating Pharrell’s “Happy”. Looks good so far! He’ll be battling Queen Latifah who is set to channel some LL Cool J tomorrow (Thursday).
Common joined close friend and former Just Wright co-star Queen Latifah on her show as the musical guest and instead of running back a single from Nobody’s Smiling like “Kingdom”, Common did an amazing heartfelt performance of the storytelling “Rewind That”, recounting experiences with No I.D. in his early career and the late great J. Dilla. What made the performance even more special was Common breaking up his verses with one acting skit each. The beat dropped and Common actually performed, Broadway style, dialogue from the times he was describing. There’s no way this won’t grab your attention as Common nailed each skit and the rhymes themselves. Especially with the J. Dilla tribute all the way through to the end. Man, it just got a little dusty in here. #RIPJDilla
The 2014 Grammys are ongoing and here are the performances in case you missed him. Bey & Jay kicked off the show hot and heavy with “Drunk In Love” kicking off the post above. Also below: Kendrick Lamar & Imagine Dragons, Daft Punk, Pharrell, & Nile Rodgers with Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and damn near everybody… (no Kanye tho :-/) Enjoy!

C’mon, 40 festival dates to commemorate 20 years and the ATLien duo was not going to also jump in the studio? Here’s hoping the rumor is confirmed, as Queen Latifah of all people, spoke to Howard Stern and said this:
They’re chilling, they’re doing their thing. They’re doing movies and they’re about to work on a new album.
She’s been tied to Dre & Big Boi in the past, and I doubt she’d say this just to say it, so to me: all signs point to a new OutKast album as well. We shall see though.
