Chicago emcee ProbCause returns with his latest project “Drifters”. The project features Angel Davenport, Pivot Gang’s Saba, The O’My’s, Twista, amongst others. This is Prob’s latest solo project following the releases of Waves and his ZRO Fox project with Psalm One. If there is something we can take away from ProbCause’s music is that he has been crafting a cohesive sound from beginning to end and continues to do so in this latest release as we join him for the ride and drift away.
Im particularly excited about this project considering I’ve been following Astonish since his AstonishinglyODD Project and now we get the follow up to that project. Astonish delivers his latest masterpiece and what I believe will be a project that turns heads with his “The Who Tape” project that boasts production by Pivot Gang’s Saba, Born Ready Productions, Slot-A, Ikon, among features from Navarro, John Walt, Lungz, and others. For those not familiar with Astonish, this new project is a reminder of why he’s one of the who’s who to listen to in Chicago Hip-Hop.
There is no trio like Hurt Everybody, that is composed of beatsmith Mulatto Beats, lyrical super-saiyan Carl, and producer/rapper/singer extraordinaire Supa Bwe, which return stronger than ever. The trio last released a full project on July 4th, 2014 and a year later triumphantly return with their first mixtape “2K47. Like the video game, Hurt Everybody too has become a franchise and staple of the Chicago Hip-Hop landscape. The trio’s project features the likes of Alex Wiley, Mick Jenkins, Logan, Saba, Twista, amongst many others. From beginning to end the project has been beautifully crafted and donned with individual cover art for every track in the project, which showcases the attention to detail that the trio has in its presentation and marketability to its listeners. Sup, Mulatto, and Carl make it very clear that there is no games played in “2K47” and that this insightful and brilliant group from Chicago is just simply creating something ahead of their times, but time will only tell of how prophetic the intellect of these artists will be as they continue to take the national Hip-Hop landscape by storm.
Pivot Gang reinforcer MFN Melo drops his latest visual “Get Up” off the recently released The Chicago Sight N Sound project by 119 Production & FDC. The video has Pivot Gang all over this very playful visual as we get production from Saba, cameos from Pivot members and some very provocative dancing from Joseph Chilliams which busts some moves for the squad.
