And since today’s a relaxing Labor Day, it feels like an undun day…
BieberMania is back in full force with his VMA mini-comeback this past Sunday cementing his new single.
He does that further during his takeover of Jimmy Fallon last night. He performs said single “What Do You Mean?”, both for real with The Roots, and as a country ballad. The cool points for me come with his freestyle with Black Thought. Enjoy that, the drum-off with Questlove, and more below.
Vince Staples gets a fresh look on the new Jimmy Fallon last night and he brought along Jhene Aiko who performed “Lemme Know” with The Roots providing some live instrumentation as well. ICYMI last night, watch the performance above.
Jeremih’s album has still yet to come out but it looks like the club single he has with Flo Rida that dropped in the springtime is prime for a push this summer.
The music video is in the works and the two took the Jimmy Fallon stage last night to bring it to life live with The Roots (and some crazy, lit-up mannequins who, well, also come to life.) I liked the single when it came out actually and it’s still a go-to nighttime tune so give the live version a look-see above. Jeremih does his thing vocally too, love the little changes on the hook. (And keep a close eye for what looks like the Late Nights: The Album artwork.)
A$AP was Fallon’s musical guest last night and performed “LSD” & “Jukebox Joints” off A.L.L.A. alongside The Roots. Great combo and this smoke/lighting is a nice touch too. Watch below:
Soooo… better than the original?
Ed Sheeran’s acoustic cover of “Trap Queen” with The Roots was quick to go viral and if you haven’t seen it, you should conform immediately. I was skeptical at first, but from the first hook I was, well.. hooked. Enjoy!
Snoop & The Roots performed together on last night’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and they chose “So Many Pros” from Snoop’s new Bush album to get the live limelight. In addition to the performance, Fallon had fun with Snoop in his “Real People, Fake Arms” segment, hah!
