There was not even an announcement that Tink had a mixtape coming out and suddenly, late tonight/early morning she drops Winter’s Diary 3 on us. Timbaland, Cookin Soul, C-Sick, Chef Byer all produce across the 10 track solo effort below.
The day of Jay Z appearances (but not really) continues after ad-libs on Jay Electronica’s “Road To Perdition” to the lack of an appearance in the new video for his collab with Rick Ross, the Timbaland-produced “Movin Bass”. For me, this song didn’t live up to the hype when it was released and I’m not sure the video will impact beyond today. But at least we get a look at the cool Seinfeld-style hat for Wale’s upcoming album (seen above.)
Royce & Premier show off their FILA sneaker in the new video for “PRhyme Time” with the new collab album in stores now.
The latest from Tink and Timbaland is the new video for “Around The Clock”, which no doubt has an addicting beat from the latter. The sound matches the clock theme and Tink puts it down with some clever references throughout (that Dwight Howard one…) with Charlamagne Tha God contributing as well. Watch and see above as DGainz is behind the lens.
In the wake of the Ferguson indecision, Chicago’s Tink lets loose her lyrical “Tell The Children”, produced by her newfound close collaborator Timbaland.
Yup, Charlamagne’s on it, but no, he’s not rapping. Instead it’s some deep quotables from the radio personality that kick off the song with Tink handling the rapping duties. It’s over a minimal production from Timbaland, who concludes the recording telling the Breakfast Club that Tink’s album is one of the best he’s done since Aaliyah’s. Dang. We shall see…
Timbaland, producer of last week’s Rick Ross featuring Jay Z collab “Movin Bass”, joined The Breakfast Club today and actually premiered the original version of the track helmed by Chicago’s Tink. Everyone trades bars and this is how it was intended to be heard. Hey, better than last week’s version.
And here’s the full interview as Timbo also blasts the Aaliyah movie.
