A “diss” because Tyga calls Drake his one-time homie and rhymes it with… wait for it… phony. Haha, I see what you did there, T-Raw!
It looks like the Tyga x Young Money relationship is near the end of the line. Especially after these new comments from Tyga in a new interview with VIBE today. He’s about as blunt as he can be about distancing himself from Young Money and how he doesn’t get along with Drake and Nicki. Alas…
Is Young Money a part of the creative process on this album?
Nah. I tend to distance myself from them.
Are you trying to break out on your own?
Yeah, I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.
I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is. But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That’s my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don’t just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow.
Tyga’s long-awaited Kanye West produced single is finally here. “40 Mill” has a thumpin’ Yeezus sound that Tyga does his best over. It may take a few listens, but the beat is there for any Kanye stan to enjoy. Off Tyga’s upcoming album… label TBD after the exchange this past weekend (on iTunes, it says Last Kings Music, not Cash Money).
NEW Drake verse, which is really all I need to say right?
You don’t have to wait long too amidst the other artists: The Kid Heat & Mally Mall also featuring Tyga. Drake puts it down with some slick rhymes about the cash flow. It’s the beat (and the sample on the hook) that reels me in further and keeps me going for the rest of the song that comes complete with the other rappers doin’ their thing too. For me, and many though, I’m lending a close ear to Drake. Press play and let us know if you are vibing with it too.
Song since removed.
Chris Brown is back, and back with a fresh new video above for his current single “New Flame”. Usher, Rick Ross, Tyga (with a cameo) and some sexy ladies join him in the tasteful video directed by Colin Tilley. The all-white attire works with the crystal blue water and the ladies laying down on the 3 inch deep waves, creating a clean, invisible look. The woman with Usher in the red dress was a nice touch too. If you were wondering, the best dance move came from Usher, not CB, with his spazzed out moonwalk. X drops, for good, on September 16th.
Additionally, Chris Brown has announced a new tour with Trey Songz.
Kid Ink’s DJ Mustard-produced track “Main Chick” gets a stacked remix as he enlists Chris Brown, French Montana, Yo Gotti, Tyga, and Chicago’s own Lil Bibby to finish off the track.
A quick rundown of the 2014 BET Awards Performances, in case you missed it. We had Beyonce & Jay Z sending in a video of “Partition” to close the show (hah! kinda funny), Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne performing his new single “Krazy”, John Legend & Jhene Aiko together (!), Trey Songz & August Alsina squashing their beef, Chris Brown back, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Robin Thicke, T.I. & Iggy Azalea, Pharrell, and more. And start it all off with how the show did: host Chris Rock‘s hilarious opening monologue as he takes fun jabs at Solange & Jay Z, Oprah, Rick Ross, Kevin Hart, and Donald Sterling.
Plus, some fun GIFs, MEMEs, and the like below too!
