Wale f/ Usher “The Matrimony”

Wale & Usher’s single has been all over the radio when I’ve tuned in recently. Naturally, it gets a new video with the two being the 2015 Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Kinda, sorta, not really, but though the single is still not growing on me, I do appreciate the appeal it gets and the combo of Wale and Usher for the video now too.

Miguel announces album release date

June 30th, says Miguel to the Hot97 Morning Show today (below). The album will also be titled, Wildheart.

Miggy also shares talk about the Met Gala, working with Pharrell and DJ Premier for the album, and his longtime relationship with model Nazanin Mandi. Below that, a brief new teaser to the new single “Coffee” featuring Wale. (I like the edited version actually better: “coffee in the morning” has a good ring to it.)

Wale “Girls on Drugs”

Wale’s Album About Nothing debuted at #1 in its first week, a great accomplishment that saw him ahead of the To Pimp A Butterfly, the Furious 7 soundtrack, and Ludaversal. (Lots of hip hop there too, which is great to see.)

One of the standout tracks that has emerged to me because of the new video below is “Girls on Drugs”. Wale examines the culture around social media models, living up to an image, and some of the harsh realities that can go with that when it’s mixed with drugs. I didn’t expect the statement to resonate as powerfully as it did so this is definitely a video to take a look at for even the most casual of Wale fans.

Kevin Durant: Only One (Documentary)

We’re on a nice run of NBA documentaries here on Gowhere. Recently it was Penny, Steph, and now KD who teams up with Revolt for this 22-minute look at all things ball, his relationship with the media, and even serious plans for rap. Naturally, KD’s D.C. homie Wale narrates.

But right now, it’s rest and rehab for Durant whose season was unfortunately cut short due to the aching right foot of his. Today, he underwent successful surgery and just posted and uplifting instagram from the hospital. Get well, KD. The playoffs won’t be the same without ya.
