New Wiz for the summertime as he enjoys life with his dog and son up above in “The Play”.
New song, new visuals outta nowhere from Wiz today. Here’s “No Permission”, which has a laid-back slight jazzy overtone to it. The catchiest part of the song is something that couples will likely resonate with so press play and find out above.
ICYMI: Wiz Khalifa on SNL
Last night, Wiz Khalifa was the musical guest on SNL that didn’t have many viewers even with Scarlett Johansson hosting as well. After all, it ran during last night’s Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. SNL was aware of this and the cold open was a “pirated” version of the fight live. View that neat take and Wiz performing his new #1 “See You Again” and “We Dem Boyz” below.
I love SNL promos and this week’s for host Scarlett Johansson and musical guest Wiz Khalifa are about as awkward and random as you can predict. Especially when Cecily Strong, fresh off her awesome performance at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, is involved as well.
Looks like SNL will definitely be worth watching (on DVR after Mayweather/Pacquiao).
New Wiz over Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”?!
Yup, and there’s a quick video shot in NYC to boot. Indulge up above.
“Uptown Funk” has finally been dethroned.
It took 14 weeks, but Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ infectious hit has slid down the charts in favor of Wiz Khalifa’s Furious 7 contribution and Paul Walker tribute. Not that “Uptown Funk” is a bad choice, I actually like the song like the masses, but that 14 week reign is pretty impressive (and good for the 2nd longest run in Hot 100 chart history.)
I’m just happy that it was overtaken by the touching “See You Again” that I have grown a fan of since seeing it as the fitting background in Paul Walker’s tribute at the end of the film. The music video does the franchise justice as well, so ICYMI, watch the video to the new #1 song in the country below (AND, UPDATE: His performance of the song on Ellen.)

On last night’s The Voice, Wiz Khalifa was a special guest to perform his hard-hitting, emotional single/tribute to Paul Walker for Furious 7. The ending transformed my opinion of the song because of how fitting it is with the cast and, well, you know what I mean if you saw it.
Appearing in Charlie Puth’s place is The Voice’s Season 7 alum Chris Jamison. I’d have to see Puth perform it live now, but Jamison sets a high bar for the hook… and the added bridge, wow. Watch above ICYMI.
